Understanding the technology behind the Elektra UV unit is very
simple. Using powerful UV rays (like the rays of the sun) produced
by a high output ultraviolet lamp placed inside the Elektra UV’s
wet chamber and by exposing the pool water being pumped by your
pool pump and passing it through the UV vessel, the micro-organisms,
bacteria, algae, and a myriad of other harmful organisms are eradicated
(killed) by the exposure to the UV Bulb generated. Thus, the
bacteria laden pool water entering the UV vessel leaves the
system and returns to your pool safe and sanitary. In doing
so, chlorine and bromine use is reduced 70%-85%, resulting in a
pool water environment that is second to none in comfort and sanitation.
